Dear Resident
I
have been a resident in Hesketh Bank for the last
2 years and I have been an active member of the outgoing
Council from May 2007 to April 2008.
I
have enjoyed helping the Council to achieve the nationally
recognised status of “Quality Council”.
I
have been on the sub-committee for Recreation/Play
areas in Hesketh Bank and we have been responsible
for the organisation of the refurbishment to Glen
Park Drive Area and very recently to the major refurbishment
of the Station Road Play area.
I
have been Chair to the sub-committee organising the
Parish Council Farmers Market, which is to be held
on 31st May in All Saints Church Hall. Proceeds from
the event are to the Douglas Cardiac Trust.
I
have been an active member of the “Northern
Parish Road Group” to tackle the problems of
congestion and condition of roads.
I
have enjoyed my time on the Hesketh Bank Council and
actively representing the residents in the village
and would very much like to continue my role as a
Parish Councillor. I am now retired so can dedicate
more time. I feel that the outgoing Council has worked
well together for you.
I
ask for your support on 1st May.
Christine (Tina) McLeod
