Dear
Residents
I
have lived in the area since 1979 with my husband
Jim, our three children Mark, Ian and Jane all attended
local schools, and my dad Fred lives on Cropper Gardens.
I have been an active member of the community over
the years, serving as a school governor, acting as
secretary when the first cub/scout Troup was formed
in Hesketh Bank. I have been a Parish Councillor for
16 years during this time I have actively seeked to
help people in the village. I am Chairman of the Recreation
Committee and the Layfield Charity Representative.
I
believe that I have served the community well and
will continue to do so, on your behalf, my idea of
being a Parish Councillor is working together for
the good of the village, the outgoing councillors
have all worked together as a team and not for their
own personal glory. Now that Hesketh with Becconsall
Parish Council has gained Quality Status, funds can
be delegated to Parish Council who gains this award;
I will continue to encourage more support and funding
for community based projects.
I remain committed to the idea that Hesketh Bank should
remain a village – but a thriving village with
a strong sense of community and pride. It should be
a safe place where people love to live.
My
interests are still to ensure that we have facilities
appropriate for the 21st century, that there is affordable
housing to enable local young people to remain in
the village.
It
is important that the right candidates are elected
so please use your vote wisely electing Councillors
that will work together for a better future for Hesketh
Bank. I hope that I can rely on your support on 1st
May so that we can do whatever is best for the Village
of Hesketh Bank and all local residents.
