Dear Resident

I would like to introduce myself, my name is Lesley Jackson I was born in Lancashire and my husband and I came to live in Hesketh Bank in 2003. I worked for 25 years in Local Government and before my retirement I was a team manager in a very busy Social Services Children’s department.

I have been a member of the Parochial Church Council for 4 years and have recently been accepted for Reader Training.

I joined the Parish Council last year and have enjoyed taking an active part in looking at how the Parish can best be served and developed. I am aware of environmental issues and the importance of preserving natural habitats for wildlife, but also balancing this with the needs of the community.

I believe it is very important, to try to build communities that will give our young people a keen sense of responsibility for their village.

I would be very pleased to be elected on 1st May to serve on the Parish Council and would endeavour to represent the views of the community to the best of my ability, and I therefore ask for your support.
