4th May 2006 Local Elections
West Lancs District Council Candidate
JAMES KAY

Election Address for James Kay
Conservative Candidate for WLDC - Tarleton.

I am a retired senior police officer, married with 2 grown-up children and 4 grandchildren, having lived in the village for the past 23 years. During my working life I have been in and around the Tarleton area since the 60’s.

During my first year in office I have represented numerous constituents who had problems and 99.9% of all cases have been resolved satisfactorily.

I am working with other Councillors to bring CCTV to the Tarleton Ward to help control the crime / vandalism.

I am working with County Councillor Malcolm Barron and Conservative Parliamentary Spokesman, Lorraine Fullbrook, to resolve the Green Lane Link issue and remove traffic from the village.

I have pursued the concerns of residents regarding water mains in the area which consist of concret and asbestos and I am assured by United Utilities and the World Health Organisation that these pipes are in no way a health hazard.
