I intend to build on the work already started by the community through the Community Audit carried out through the Rural Evaluation and Action for Lancashire Project.

This project has proved that there is great enthusiasm and a great deal of people have excellent skills in the community of Hesketh with Becconsall. Thee outcomes from this piece of work will form the foundation for taking issues forward.

I would be a proactive elected member who would work with the community rather than just being a figurehead. Already I have begun to make contacts with residents on areas that they have concern with.

I will focus on areas that will make a real difference to the quality of life of residents such as Youth facilities, Community Activities, Environment and Recycling, Development and Affordable Housing.

Being an Independent will enable me to represent the views of the community and will not tie me to the decisions that can be made to the detriment of residents by political parties who have to toe the party line.

I am a hard working individual who will engage with all sectors of the community to ensure that the best results are obtained for the community of Hesketh with Becconsall.

My promise is that I will be there for the community and help make a difference.

Working with and in the community requires special skills and I feel that I will fill the role of being an elected member for Hesketh with Becconsall efficiently and effectively. I will produce results.
