I
lived on Shore Road with my husband Jim and family for
25 years, my three children Mark, Ian and Jane all attended
local schools. My parents live on Cropper Gardens.
In
1992 I was elected to serve on Hesketh with Becconsall
Parish Council, during this time I have actively seeked
to help people in the village.
I
represent the Parish Council as a School Governor for
All Saints School. Was Best Kept Village Co-ordinator
for 4 years, during this time Hesketh Bank won the trophy
'for the most improved village'. I have always been an
active member of the community and will continue to do
so, on your behalf. I remain committed to the idea that
Hesketh Bank should remain a village - but a thriving
village with a strong sense of community
My
interests are to ensure that we have facilities appropriate
for the 21st century, which the village is not over developed,
that there is affordable housing to enable local young
people to remain, that roads, footpaths and parking are
regulated and maintained in such a way as to ensure the
safety of the village. I will continue to encourage more
support and funding for community based projects, and
better provision for the elderly and young.
There
have been frustrating times for the Parish Council over
the last couple of years, if re-elected I would like to
see all Councillors working as a team for the well being
of the village and not for their own personal glory.
It
is important that the right candidates are elected so
please use your vote wisely. I hope that I can rely on
your support so that together we can do whatever is best
for the village of Hesketh Bank and all local residents.
Best
wishes to you all.
