Tarleton Rectory
PALM SUNDAY 1941

My dear Friends,
Alas! the exigencies of war will not allow me to send the usual. Easter Card, and I am reduced to this very small letter. Yet I cannot allow so great a Feast to pass without sending one word to wish you all a very blessed and happy Easter and to remind you that from the very beginning the Church has always maintained that every faithful Christian should obey the Lord's command on Easter Day and make his, or her, Communion. "Do This, said our Saviour, in remembrance of Me“, and on Easter Day we must assuredly do it. If we want God to bless us we must shew ourselves obedient children.

Here are the times of the Services:-

7.0 a.m. Holy Communion.

"If God is for us, who can be against us" says St. Paul to the Romans (Rom.8.31),and how true that is. And God is with those who are with Him. Say to yourselves the words of David(1 Sam.20.29) "Let me go, I pray thee; for our family hath a Sacrifice in the city; and my Brother, He hath commanded me to be there." Say also:- "With my spirit within me I will seek Thee early (1s .6.9.) With every prayer and every Blessing for you and those near and dear to you wherever they may be,
ever your devoted pastor and servant,
L. N. FORSE.
